Middle class people are all about money, as the stereotypes say. However, class prejudices aside, middle class people tend to be very interested in expanding their economic lot in life. For many of them, this is primarily a matter of upbringing and the desire to do better than their ancestors did. If you were raised in a place where money was in short supply, you might also feel the same way. But that doesn’t make this right.

One very important thing about the middle class concerns how they view other people. Networking is a small concern among many of the middle class, and they tend to view it primarily as a means to receiving a larger paycheck or an immediate infusion of cash from some kind of work to be done. The obsession with money that the middle class typically exhibits often has roots in rising from generational poverty.

Typically this rise is in direct opposition of one’s family traditions, and it tends to have a lot of emotional underpinnings about it. For one thing, being middle class means associating with people who are interested in delaying gratification at the expense of immediate entertainment. For a person coming from poverty, their family and friends often scoff at such ideas. While poor people tend to admire knowledge in the general sense, the middle class display a deep affection, if not an obsession with it. As the saying goes, no one can take away your education. For the middle class this often becomes a mantra.
